Guelph’s total ICI permit values for the August-January (2016-17) period declined by about one-third year-over-year. Despite the overall drop, commercial permit values increased by 30%. Industrial permit values declined by 16%. Guelph’s institutional sector, which previously had been supported by several projects by the University of Guelph, saw less than $2 million in permits issued over the past six months.
