ICI permit values in Greater Sudbury were down by half in the past six months compared to the previous September-February period. This decline was led by the commercial sector which saw a drop of about two-thirds. Industrial permit values declined by 28%. Greater Sudbury’s institutional sector was more stable in the past six months, increasing slightly compared to the previous September to February period. As previously reported, Laurentian University’s building program will drive activity in the institutional sector over the next year.
