Toronto’s ICI permit values increased by 26% in the January-May period. The biggest increase came from the institutional sector, with permit values up 35% compared to last year’s the January-May period. Commercial permit values in Toronto increased by 29%, totalling over $1.6 billion by the end of May for the first time. Toronto’s industrial permit values, which have declined significantly over the past year, only fell by a few thousand dollars in the January-May period.
