Thunder Bay’s total ICI permit values nearly doubled in the January-July period compared to last year, led by increases in both the institutional and commercial sectors. Institutional permit values rose significantly led by Lakehead University’s $15 million Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering project. Thunder Bay’s commercial permit values increased by 42% compared to last year’s January-July period. Industrial permits declined by 62%, totally just over $1 million.
