Overall, Barrie’s ICI permit values in the June-September period were roughly the same as the same period in 2016. Barrie’s institutional permit values quadrupled though compared to last year, due to a $20 million permit for a project at Georgian College. Industrial permit values increased by 59% in the June-September period, although overall this year Barrie’s industrial permits have actually declined by 41%. Commercial permit values in Barrie were down by 58% in the June-September period.
