Total ICI permit values in Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo had a 13% increase in the June-September period year-over-year. The metro area’s industrial permit values more than doubled in June-September, and at this point in the year overall, industrial permits are at the highest point since 2011. Institutional permit values increased by 35%, although overall this year institutional permits have declined by 26%. Commercial permit values in Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo declined by one-third in the June-September period.
