Total ICI permit values in St. Catharines-Niagara were up by 29% in the June-September period year-over-year. So far in 2017, ICI permit values overall and in each individual sector are at the highest point since 2013. Commercial permit values in the June-September period increased by 78%, and by 35% overall in 2017. Industrial permit values in St. Catharines-Niagara were up 71% in June-September, while so far in 2017 industrial permits have increased by 68%. Although the metro area’s institutional permit values declined by 28% in the June-September period, they are up by 32% in the year so far.
