Total ICI permit values in St. Catharines-Niagara had a slight decline year-over-year in the October-January period, down 4%. Both the industrial and institutional sectors saw permit values drop in the four-month period year-over-year. Industrial permits fell by 26%, while institutional permit values had a 58% decline, amounting to only $1.2 million over four months. Commercial permit values in St. Catharines-Niagara increased by 12% in the October-January period, accounting for almost 70% of the metro areas ICI permits.
