Toronto’s total ICI permit values increased by 39% year-over-year in the October-January period, with growth in all three sectors. Commercial permit values increased by 10% in the four-month period, but amounted to nearly $1.5 billon, well over half of Toronto’s ICI total. Industrial permit values had the biggest percentage increase, more than four-fold, but accounted for just over a quarter of Toronto’s ICI total. Institutional permit values increased by a quarter but had the smallest permit value total in Toronto in the four-month period, accounting for only 16% of the ICI total.
