Peterborough’s total ICI permit values increased by 13% in the August-November period year-over-year. Industrial permit values in Peterborough increased from about $2 million in August-November period in 2016 to $21 million in the same period in 2017 led by a $15 million permit in September for a municipal public works facility. Commercial and institutional permit values both declined significantly, down 60% and 65% respectively. For the calendar year through November, commercial permit values fell by 43% while institutional permits fell by 28%.
