Completion Counts: Raising Apprenticeship Completion Rates in Ontario’s Construction Industry – May 2013
This research study explored the problem of lagging apprenticeship completions in Ontario’s construction industry and examined the increasing role of the unionized construction industry in providing apprenticeship training. Looking at data for four compulsory trades, the research revealed that union signatory apprentices had higher completion rates than apprentices indentured to a single employer (primarily non-union contractors).
